Safe & Secure IM Communities
Imagine a society where your children or pupils can communicate without the fear of bullying or undesirables manipulating their innocence.
With the advent of Instant Messaging (IM), it has become the preferred method of youth communication with over 10 million registered MSN users in the UK. This has become a haven for undesirables and today many teachers and parents are scared to let their children use these facilities.
Our IM solution creates a “by invitation” private community which enables pupils and teachers to communicate and interact safely within or outside the compounds of your school network.
The servers are located either within the school or LEA, meaning control over who has access to our children. To ensure complete security the IM conversations are encrypted and the pupils can use this system from their home PC as well as at school.
To reduce bullying and truancy all communications are logged and the system will notify automatically teachers of repeat offenders using bullying or racist terminology.
A “Parent Power” disk is available for parents free of charge so they can block unsafe IM systems from their home PC. Parents can then be safe in the knowledge that their children are using a monitored system.
Our IM solution also includes secure chartrooms so children can log onto a safe community governed by the school or LEA.
